No one looks better in a black turtleneck than Kathleen Kelly. Also, I will pay a king’s ransom to anyone who makes a You’ve Got Mail-themed paper doll book with all of KK’s greatest fashion hits.

Another great post! 🍂 Is it just me or do you just keep topping yourself?

Love Meg Ryan Fall! Now that I think of it, a red turtleneck sweater I have was probably bought because of direct inspiration from her Sally. I’m also tempted to watch Funny Face now, solely because of that outfit….

You must watch for the fashion! The love story between Audrey and Fred Astaire is secondary to it, I think.

Erin, can we talk about those glasses on a chain in the WHMS bookstore scene? Since the film came out I've been looking for those glasses, and even though today I'm wearing an approximate pair (RayBans), none have measured up. IT IS MY LIFELONG QUEST, NOT JUST A FALL THING

The glasses are spectacular! They were one of a kind, with a 14-karat-gold base, from a brand called La Roche. A woman named Cheryl Shuman from Starry Eyes Optical in LA supplied the eyewear on that set!

Wow! You’re a goddess, thank you! Also: I bet I’ve thought more about those glasses these past 35 years than Cheryl has

I have always had extremely intense feelings about this red sweater. This was my entire goal aesthetic for the early '90s.

Jen, I don't know if you remember this, but you were wearing a red sweater not unlike Sally's when I first met you at the Greek restaurant in Midtown!

i didn't know about meg ryan fall but i'm here for it. i once i auditioned to play meg's sister in a movie. (i can't remember the movie. i didn't get the part.) i would have loved to hang out with meg in cozy sweaters.

p.s. she directed and starred in a movie recently that not enough people saw. it was based on a play. i loved it. look for - "What Happens Next." co starring david duchovny.

Loved that movie — and its subtle homage to Nora!

Yes! I feel like more people should see it. I thought they were both great and her direction spot on. 🎥🎬
