In 1994 I was working at an Aircraft FBO and The Cutting Edge was shown a lot on cable at that time. It became apparent when soon grown men working on aircraft would yell, "Toe Pick" at another's mistake. I obviously was not the only one who watched it and enjoyed it.

No mention of Moira Kelly famously taking over the role of Donna in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me? I thought she did a fine job in that and I'm very surprised her priest let her bare her breasts. I saw The Cutting Edge IN THE THEATER, thank you very much, and have watched it about a million times since then. I love how you call Hale the Bill Pullman character - SO TRUE! FOREPLAY.
I never got into Twin Peaks! (I KNOW.) Her priest somehow ALWAYS managed to approve her more explicit roles, just so long as she didn't accept them for "money or fame."
Oh I was obsessed with the original Twin Peaks as an eighth grader! Then later Bravo reran the entire series and I recorded it all to VHS and re-watched it from beginning to end over and over and over. Lara Flynn Boyle played Donna in the series but when they were filming the prequel film Fire Walk With Me, she didn't want to show her boobies (or so the rumor was), so Moira Kelly got the role.
She didn't get main roles because she was declining them because of sexually explicit scenes. she didnt feel comfortable during her scenes in Daybreak and never wanted to do it again

Yes! Penny Marshall wanted Moira for Kit but Moira broke her leg while making Cutting Edge. (That’s in the book, natch!)
