Having to explain the outcome of this election to my kids gutted me in a way 2016 me couldn’t have even fathomed. Knowing so many fellow white women didn’t bat an eye at the thought of explaining to their kids that they voted for a literal monster has boggled my mind beyond comprehension.
Erin- I appreciate your attitude. I, honestly, read your Substack for the distraction it provides against the anxiety of the day. But I want to thank you for sharing your positivity and reality here and now. It's been a very tough week, and as you say, it's only beginning. We have to stay strong and keep our communities.
